Two kinds of exfoliation in one product is the point here — the acids loosen dead cells and the microabrasion lifts them off, which is why it is a weekly polish rather than a daily wipe. If you would rather exfoliate with acids alone and skip the grit, the glycolic acid pads or the Daily Glow toner do it without any physical scrub.
